Program details
The MIMFA program consists of 30 credit hours and emphasizes financial analysis and portfolio management. The highly-relevant, practice-based curriculum is designed around the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) exam content and guided by the Code of Ethical Practice and Professional Conduct.

CFA Institute Affiliated University
Creighton’s MIMFA is one of a select number of graduate programs in the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) Institute University Affiliation Program. To achieve this recognition, programs must cover at least 70% of the CFA® Program Candidate Body of Knowledge™ (CBOK) into their curricula.
Admission requirements
The Master of Investment Management and Financial Analysis program requires the following:
- Application
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a recommended 3.0 GPA or higher
- Background coursework in accounting, finance, microeconomics, macroeconomics and business statistics
- Official transcripts from all educational institutions attended
- A resume or curriculum vitae
- A personal statement of approximately 300–500 words that describes your interest in Creighton and this program as well as your professional goals
- Two letters of recommendation that cannot be from friends or family members
- GMAT score (test waiver available)
- A personal interview, if requested by Creighton, which can be conducted in-person or virtually
International students
International students are eligible for this program and F-1 visas may be supported upon admission, dependent on chosen format. For admission, international applicants must:
- Meet English language proficiency requirements
- Submit a Certification of Available Finances Form through the Global Engagement Office if admitted
